Terms & Important Information

At Artisan & Lær, Australia Post is our preferred postal service.

Shipping Schedule

All orders are packed and dispatched from Calen, QLD 4798 on the following days:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

To ensure your order is included in the next dispatch cycle, please place your order by 2:00 PM the day prior.
Orders placed after this cut-off time will be shipped on the next scheduled shipping day.

RATES

Important Shipping & Insurance Information

Please note: All postage options only include insurance cover for loss or damage up to $100, as per Australia Post’s standard coverage. This includes both free shipping and flat rate options.

We strongly recommend purchasing additional insurance to cover the full value of your order, particularly for high-value items.
Artisan & Lær is not liable for any loss or damage incurred during transit once your order has been handed over to Australia Post.

Postage Rates

(Subject to change in line with Australia Post pricing updates)

  • $15.95 Flat Rate – Standard Postage with Tracking

  • $18.95 Flat Rate – Express Postage with Tracking

  • FREE Postage on all orders over $300

Additional Charges & Invoicing

If additional fees (such as insurance, GST, or adjustments) are required, they will be invoiced separately.
Orders will not be shipped until all outstanding invoices have been paid in full.

Please note: An administration fee applies to orders requiring manual correction and re-invoicing. This fee is non-negotiable and reflects the time spent:

  • Identifying and correcting errors

  • Communicating with you to resolve the issue

  • Issuing additional invoices

  • Reconciling payments and generating receipts

  • Following up on overdue payments where necessary

This time takes resources away from other paying customers, and we appreciate your understanding in helping us maintain a smooth and efficient order process.

INSURANCE

Postage Insurance & Liability

Please note:
All standard, express, and small item postage options (including free or flat-rate shipping) only cover loss or damage up to $100, as per Australia Post’s standard terms.

We highly recommend purchasing additional insurance for all orders valued over $100, as Artisan & Lær will not be held liable for lost or damaged items in transit where full insurance has not been arranged. We do not offer refunds or replacements for uninsured parcels affected during shipping.

Insurance is calculated at $2.50 for every $100 over the base $100 cover.
Orders valued over $500 will automatically include signature on delivery.

To arrange full insurance coverage for your order:

Estimated Delivery Timeframes

Delivery times provided are estimates only and may be impacted by delays outside of our control (e.g., postal network disruptions, weather events, or customs hold-ups).

For questions regarding delayed parcels, please contact Australia Post directly with your tracking information.

You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order has been dispatched. This will include your unique Tracking ID, which you can use to monitor your parcel’s journey and estimated arrival via the Australia Post tracking app or website.

Disclaimer – Customer Information & Shipping Details

Artisan & Lær is not responsible for incorrect shipping or contact details provided at checkout.
Please ensure all postal addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses are entered accurately at the time of ordering.

If you notice an error in your submitted information, you must contact us immediately so we can attempt to correct it—provided your order has not yet been shipped.
Once an order has been dispatched, any redirection or correction must be handled directly through Australia Post by the customer.

Outstanding Invoices & Order Fulfilment

Artisan & Lær reserves the right to withhold shipment of any order until all outstanding invoices have been paid in full.
By completing checkout on our website, you are agreeing to pay any outstanding balances, including additional charges, adjustments, or applicable fees associated with your order.

All items lost or damaged in transit are subject to Australia Post’s Terms and Conditions, which govern claims and compensation. Coverage applies only to the value of the order as per the level of insurance selected at the time of shipping.

Why We Recommend Full Insurance Cover

For peace of mind, we strongly recommend purchasing full insurance coverage for the total value of your order.

To arrange this, please email us before placing your order, or immediately after if you've already completed checkout and forgot to include it.

We will issue a manual invoice for the additional insurance.

Please note: Your order will not be shipped until this invoice has been paid in full.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS - CUSTOMS & IMPRT DUTIES

Artisan & Lær is not responsible for any customs delays, import taxes, duties, or other fees that may apply to international orders. These charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

We strongly recommend checking with your local customs authority prior to placing an order to ensure that our products are permitted in your region and to understand any potential import costs.

Please note that online stock levels may not always reflect real-time availability. If you’re ordering for a specific event or deadline, we strongly recommend contacting us directly to confirm item availability and ensure we can meet your required timeframe.
